What would motivate you to volunteer online?
I run the US Operations for a nonprofit called the Blue Mountain Project and am in the process of setting up opportunities to volunteer online. I want to know some things that would motivate people to volunteer in this fashion. If you want to learn more about the BMP, we have a website www.bluemountainproject.org
i think i’ll be motivated to join if the cause is worth it and if the organization is legit and transparent with all their transactions especially about finances.
Do volunteers have a right to tell patrons the rules at the library?
Is a volunteer at the library considered a staff member even if they are 13 years old?? I mean its kind of weird how minors volunteer there and I always wondered, if a patron was stealing, misbehaving, doing something wrong, breaking the rules of the library, do volunteers count as being a staff there that have every right to ban you if the customer isnt behaving??
What about if there are young volunteers??? Like how does a minor 13 have authority over an adult and he/she would work at the library as a volunteer?
As a volunteer, you have a paid staff member who is your "boss," correct?
Ask them what you should do if you see a patron "stealing, misbehaving, doing something wrong, breaking the rules of the library."
Don’t take it upon yourself to police the library unless you are told that’s one of your volunteer duties.
I need help looking for a volunteering center in Virginia?
I’ve been wanting to volunteer with other teens that have autism…
or are mentally disabled…[like mental retardation or down syndrome]
[I'm also a 15 year old teen] I just want to help those who didn’t chose their fate….If someone can help me find one near me…Thank you. <3
i used to live in Virginia. there are many places to volunteer there you can even open a phone book and find places. people are always looking for volunteers and there is always places open for it. if you can just find a center for mentally disabled teens I’m sure if you just walk in they would love to have you. if they tell you, you don’t meet age requirement, find out when they have visiting hours and go in and spend time with the teens anyway. even if your not considered a "volunteer" spending time with them would mean even more and give you more joy and fulfillment.

Does anyone know where I can get an online VOLUNTEER moderator job?
I would like to know where to get an online volunteer moderator job to further my experience, does anyone know where I could apply? I was a player moderator when I was younger (i’m 18) for runescape. If anyone could help me that would be great, and I can do all the types of moderating (forums, assistance, games) anything would be great. Thanks guys!

how can i get volunteers to help run a non-profit organization?
I’m located in LA, but I’m looking for people all over the country and around the world. The issue is children and something very horrible that is happening to many of them. We need to build a huge army of volunteers and chapters to help stop it. I would really appreciate any help.
Based in NYC LA and Nashville, but looking for people anywhere.
The best way to get volunteers is to find people who have been directly affected by whatever it is your organization is fighting against. If your organization wants to prevent sidewalks from being hard so that kids don’t bruise themselves when they fall, then find other parents who have bruised up kids who are fighting against hard sidewalks.
Where is a mandatory drug rehab center for adults in Texas?
My brother who is now 21 years old is struggling with Alcohol and Drug abuse. He has been to many volunteer rehab centers but end up getting out! He wants to change because he attempts to by going to these voluteer rehab centers but when he gets the urge he gets out. Please help!!
Hi, I want you to know that I acknowledge your courage to reach out for assistance with your brother. What I can share with you is that the only "forced" facility is usually incarceration, and that is NOT the place to get the healing he deserves.
My good friend struggled for years, just like your brother, he would go into and out of treatment centers. It was not until he found a facility that was able to address the "cause" of his using drugs, and not just focus on the "drugs" themselves as the issue that he was able to begin the process of healing.
You see, we ALL create our own reality and environment based on how we see ourselves, our value and self worth ect. So it is not our external world that makes up our internal world, but the other way around. Hope this makes sense, I did not get it until I went to a family day at the center he was at and it was very clearly explained.
Don’t give up, and tell your brother the same thing. If he is willing to take another deep look then you may be interested in this place.
God Bless and good luck to you

Where in NYC/ Queens can I volunteer in a mental health center for teenagers?
I’m 17 and I’m going to be a freshman in college. For the summer, I’m trying to find somewhere I can volunteer, in order to help teenagers with such problems at depression and suicide. Any ideas of places to volunteer?
