Are there any colleges that need volunteers for plastic surgery?
I heard that there are universities that may use volunteers for plastic surgery for free or near free? For all of you nay sayers, I’ll do my investigations on their credentials, their professor’s backgrounds, the organization and mainly the stats on their patients post surgery. I just need to get my feed in so that I can walk around some of the debris.
My suggestion would be to start by contacting the medical schools closest to you just to keep things easier for yourself.

Is there a group or an organization accepting volunteers to travel to Haiti to help?
I’d like to go volunteer in Haiti, but cannot find any information on the subject. The red cross is not accepting volunteers. Also, I can’t go right now, but spring break is around the corner, and I’m sure they will still need help then.
Try this site. It has numbers to call to volunteer: http://www.cidi.org/incident/haiti-10a/
How do I find dental schools that need volunteers with dental problems?
I was told by my boss that dental schools sometimes need volunteers with dental problems for pratice. I can not afford dental ins anymore and have some bad teeth and they are starting to hurt more and more, but I do not want to loose them! I would love to volunteer!!!
Contact the American Dental Association or do a search on dental schools and email them.
As an aside, I couldn’t afford dental work either, but I arranged to make payments in advance with my dentist until half of the work was paid for then she did the work. Of course I will continue the payments until I am paid up with her as I am very glad that she was willing to do this for me.
Call and ask around. You have nothing to lose.

When did the Australian government announce that it would be sending volunteers to fight in the Korean war?
I know it was announced on July 26th 1950 that the 3rd Battalion of the RAR would be sent, but when was it announced that volunteers would be sent?
I’m not sure it was announced formally, volunteers just turned up for that war.
You can read about it here:

How do volunteers make a difference?
I’m writing a short essay on how volunteers make a difference…and I would like your opinion on how volunteers make a differnece. Thanks
My husband had non-Hodgkins lymphoma, cancer in his bone marrow so he didn’t make new blood cells. For a time, he had microangiopathic hemaelytic anemia, active blood destruction. To give him a chance for remission and then for a bone marrow transplant from a relative to work, he had the blood donations of 200-300 volunteers. It didn’t work long-term, but they gave us 18 more months together–most of them good ones
These weren’t people who’d lined up for him. They had lined up at church, at work, at school, maybe at a mall and donated a pint of blood because it was the right thing to do, or because everyone else was, or because of the meals served afterward. (This was in Kansas where small town donations get a full meal, not just juice and a cookie.) That’s how volunteers made a difference for us.
What legel issues come into play with have volunteers work for company?
I want to hold an event in my community and need the help of volunteers to make this possible. What do I need to take into consideration to avoid any legel problems and is there any usefull sources for laws regarding hiring volunteers?thanks everyone
I’m a lawyer and I work with 3 volunteer organizations. The only legal issue that might come into play is the need for liability insurance during the event if a volunteer is injured or injuries someone else. That might not even be necessary depending on the type of event. Assess the liklihood of injury against the cost of a short-term liability policy.
