A Beacon of Hope – The Mother’s Day Song
“Life begins at conception. God, and not man (or woman), is the Creator of human life. Therefore, from conception to natural death we need to protect and respect the sanctity of every human life. For the past four decades in America, the child in the womb has often been referred to as ‘a mere piece of tissue’. Moreover this little person has been thought of as a blank slate – without emotion, memory or the ability to communicate. Yet, studies and the use of today’s technology (in the same period) has revealed the unborn develops physically and mentally at an incredible rate, and is capable of remarkable feats”.**
Since 1973, more than 39,000,000 babies have lost their chance for a contribution to this beautiful country of America. That is more than 30 times the number of brave men and women who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom since the Revolutionary War in 1775. Every precious life that is saved would contribute an estimated amount of $270,000 through college graduation to to our financial economy. If 25% of those children lost to abortion each year were granted life, that equals $108,000,000,000 spent in food, housing, clothing, education and child-related products. Why does our government not talk about the tremendous job stimulus created by this financial impact? This unique song presents the hopes and dreams of an unborn baby singing to the Mother to save its live. The lyrics highlight the pressure from others concerning a pregnancy, which is typically unplanned and generally to young, out-of-wedlock future parents. However, the baby asks for this “one chance to laugh, to play and dance”. A Mother who makes the right choice to save her child’s life can seek help from charitable ministries for guidance and financial support. This song is dedicated to my lovely wife, Lynn, who gives generously of her time to A Beacon of Hope located in Johns Creek, Georgia. OM…One Million Faces is hanging in the Lincoln gallery at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. (2130 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302, (303) 444-0202, www.naropa.edu) through March 19th, 2010.
The OM show features numerous original works mixed media collages created by Peggy and members of the community from the photographs Peggy has taken during the past 8 months.
Peggy Dyer is traveling the country, dotting the map for her causes seeking out community events and local hot spots to host her photo-booth style shoots. Charitable contributions will be collected on-site and additional donations can be made through the official website “http://www.onemillionfaces.org” Each face captured in a photo is a memory of how One Million Faces can impact our world.
While the portrait of America unfolds, potentially millions of dollars can be raised for charities nationwide. Currently, The One Million Faces project donates their time and funds to the following charities: Davis Phinney Foundation, The Chanda Plan, Team 25 – The Shjon Podein Children`s Foundation, MESA (Moving To End Sexual Assault) Program, and Rett Syndrome Research Trust.
This modern art project began with an idea on February 26th, 2009. The first photo shoot event manifested on February 28th, 2009 and Peggys friend Angie was the first of one million faces. Peggy has been tip-toeing around the nation and could come to a city near you soon. She has been in Florida, Alabama, Missouri, North Carolina, Washington, and Wisconsin just to name a few. In case you are wondering who will be the #1,000,000 face, Peggy hopes it can be President Barack Obama.

The goal of the Rett Syndrome Research Trust is to deliver clinical trials of a novel treatment strategy within five years.
Every five hours a girl is born with Rett Syndrome! Rett Syndrome (RS) is a neurological disorder that primarily affects your girls and women. For the first year or so, the girls with RS seem perfectly normal, but then they can lose the ability to walk, talk and use their hands properly. As the girls grow older, they often develop seizures, breathing disorders, scoliosis, and other difficulties. There currently is no known cure or treatment, but there is hope. On February 8th 2007, a breakthrough discovery was announced. Scientists have reversed the symptoms of RS in mice, giving us all hope that this can also be done for girls suffering from RS.
