help me!!! where should i go? retreat or red cross volunteer center?
i really want to volunteer because i need hours and i’m going to a retreat at my friend’s church in pennsylvania any ways but my grandmother [dad's side] already paid 200 dollars for me to go to her churchs’ retreat without my consent….she says it’s a life changing experience…..but to me every retreat is a life changing experience…..i never got in charge of my OWN summer my grandmother always gets in the way….i already told her i need to volunteer for my future….my mom agrees with me but my dad [because he is obviously a mama's boy] agrees with the grand mother…my grandmother thinks she is not getting enough attention and love [obviously jealous of my grandmother on my mom's side] and gets easily jealous and mad…..HELP
If you are old enough to make your own decisions and your mother is cool about the idea of you volunteering for the red cross then I would say go for it. It is always beneficial when you help others and you can also tell your grandmother that this is also a life changing experience. You look at people a whole different way when you learn more about them, and while you are volunteering you will learn loads about them. Go with your heart. Your grandmother will survive. Good Luck!

If you volunteer for the Red Cross, you will actually be doing real good for real life people. If you go on a retreat, you’re not helping anyone.

Are you old enough to make this decision on your own? If not, it is up to your mother to make that decision not your grandlmother
