how old do you have to be to volunteer in a daycare center?
i want to run a daycare when i get older, and i was wondering if i could volunteer there. im 14, but more than likely i will volunteer in the summer, and i will be 15 in july.
I’m not sure about volunteering, but I worked at one when I was 16. It can’t hurt to go in and ask, the worst they can say is come back in a couple of years. If you can’t volunteer at a public daycare, try asking around at churches. They can always use the extra help.

It all depends on the daycare center, just start looking. They will require you to be first aid and CPR certified so you could start getting ready for that.

Most daycares won’t take volunteers–it’s a safety issue. You’ll have to babysit on your own and in a couple of years, take classes on how to be a daycare teacher’s assistant and try it that way.
