In this informational video, Alexa Hoekstra, Convergence Marketing Coordinator, discusses the off-site volunteer opportunities available to attendees at Microsoft Dynamics Convergence Atlanta (April 24 27, 2010).

The off-site opportunity at this years Convergence will take place at the Atlanta Youth Project Center Camp, which is a 50-acre site just outside the Atlanta city limits. The camp serves 800 to 1,000 kids each summer and offers inner city youth an opportunity to get out and explore nature, while getting involved in various athletic and farming activities. Convergence attendee volunteers will be helping build additional cabins, storage facilities, and an outdoor pavilion. They will also be able to do some painting, cleaning, and landscaping. Opportunities are available for all skill levels.

Even if you have already registered for Convergence, you can still sign up for the off-site volunteer opportunity. Simply log back into the Convergence website with your event registration credentials to sign up (Click on Register Today on the Convergence home page).

The volunteer event takes place on Saturday, April 24th and attendees can choose between three different time slots: morning only, afternoon only or an all day opportunity. Buses will be available to take volunteers from the Convergence event center to the off-site and back. There will be a volunteer check-in desk within the regular Convergence registration area, from which volunteers will be directed to the location of the buses.
